A Dream I Didn't Have

  1. I really enjoyed this video. I like that you tried to keep most of their faces cut out of the frame like you explained during pitch. It helped give the video the right "feel." Playing parts of the video in reverse helped make the whole video as well. Good job!

  3. Loved the shots, would have liked to see him say "I love you" when he was on the phone. It was a little strange seeing the faces and not seeing the faces combined together. I remember you originally said you wanted to keep the faces out of frame or blurred out. Which I thought was an interesting concept. Maybe a lighter color treatment would help make the film look more "dream-like" all in all it was very interesting though, I loved watching the cars go in reverse.

  4. I really liked that you had everything in reverse in the end as if was going to replay. Ihe story matched the song, I kinda felt that some of the shots of the guy and girl just stand was a little awkward.

  5. I think a lot of the shots were very well done. The part with the car driving and the scene while driving seemed a little bit too long.

  6. I liked the editing choices. In your pitch I wasn't sure about having the eyes cut off but I think in the end it worked well.

  7. I really enjoyed the forward than backward movement it worked very nicely together. The images really worked with the beat of the song. Well done.

  8. This music video had the feel of a quirky indie movie, which , in my opinion, fits this song to a T! The lyrics are so quirky and airy. I loved it.

  10. My favorite part was the reverse part of the video:) Very cool. I never quite got the feeling thought that this was a dream...I think if you had an end shot of the man waking up, it would've driven that home. You're shots are all very well framed too. Good job:)

  11. You guys did an awesome job with this. The style of the video matched the style of the song perfectly. I love that the video went in reverse at the end. I also loved the symbolism of the leaf that you carried over from your movie poster, along with the type that you used in the poster. I honestly do not have a single negative things to say. Awesome work!

  12. Love the cinematography and direction of this whole video. Fun song, and it was well represented by the shots and editing throughout the video. Some of the longer shots could have been dealt with a little better and just treated differently, but overall it was a fantastic vid.

  14. I like that this video has a somewhat abstract narrative, it is a more artistic approach to a narrative. It went really well with the song. The variety or close ups extreme close ups and distant shots was really interesting.
